DNC Debacle

It is inconceivable how the former DNC chairperson, Debbie Wasserman Schultz allowed a Pakistani family to jeopardize national security at taxpayer expense.  Wasserman Schultz employed Imran Awan as an IT consultant for several Democratic congressional members.  In that capacity he had access to all email which likely included sensitive and confidential materials.  Awan’s wife and brother were also on the Democrat’s payroll and were reportedly paid a yearly salary in excess of $160,000 each.  Since 2010 Awan and his family were paid over $4 million.  The salaries paid were in excess of that typical for IT consultants.  Additionally the inclusion of multiple family members should have raised concern with others in the Democratic Party.  The Awan brothers were ultimately banned from government networks when they were suspected of data theft.  Despite concerns over revealing national intelligence information and blackmailing Democratic congressional members, Wasserman Schultz kept Awan on the Democrat’s payroll.  In fact, Awan received his salary until his arrest.  Law enforcement eventually intervened  after he wired $300,000 to Pakistan and then attempted to flee the country.

The FBI discovered smashed hard drives at Awan’s home.  It seems that the Democrats have a penchant for destroying phones and hard drives.  Perhaps it is a convenient way to diffuse aggression while removing incriminating evidence.  Naturally the mainstream media hasn’t been reporting on this story.  Had this taken place with the Republican National Committee (RNC) it would have made headlines in all media outlets.  It’s a pity that our society has different standards depending on your political point of view.  Hypocrisy is alive and well in the mainstream media.
