Attorney General William Barr is an experienced, battle-tested attorney who has served in the administrations of two previous presidents. He is accustomed to Washington politics and is unwilling to accept the politically expedient solution to problems. He was appointed Attorney General (AG) by President Trump after the resignation of Jeff Sessions from that position. Barr also served as the AG during the presidency of George Bush Sr. He also did legal work for the President Reagan during his time in office. Mr. Barr has an established record of focusing on the rule of law and his goal is the equitable administration of justice. That is an extremely difficult task in a town ruled by political favors and where no truer words were spoken than, “it’s not what you know but who you know.” Mr. Barr stated on numerous occasions that he wished to restore integrity to the Department of Justice (DOJ). Appointed to his position on February 14, 2019 Barr quickly became embroiled in controversial issues. He was heavily criticized for his 4-page summary of the Mueller report prior to its release to the public. Barr concluded that evidence failed to establish either collusion with the Russians or obstruction of justice by President Trump. Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz investigated the origins of the Mueller investigation and found at least sixteen mistakes, errors and omissions in the FISA documents that triggered the entire Russian collusion hoax. After the Inspector General’s report was released Barr issued a statement saying that the Russia investigation was baseless. Key figures in the Obama Administration admitted under oath before the House Intelligence Committee that there was never any Russia collusion evidence. The truth was never heard in the media, only the lies the deceitful members of the Obama Administration wished to portray. The Russians may have attempted to interfere in the 2016 election, but the Trump campaign played no role in it. All the investigations have concluded that no votes were changed as a result of foreign interference. If anyone was complicit in Russia collusion, it was the Clinton campaign and the DNC who paid for the bogus Steele dossier.
Barr inserted himself into the Roger Stone sentencing when Stone was given up to nine years in jail for lying to Congress, a sentence greater than many felons receive. There were calls for his resignation for suggesting that the sentence was excessive. Not easily intimidated, Barr not only continued at his post but has now recommended dropping the criminal charges against General Flynn. FBI notes show that the General was targeted and set up by James Comey and top FBI agent Peter Strzok. The liberal media (and now ex-President Obama) have attacked Mr. Barr’s actions since Flynn had pleaded guilty. Plea bargains are commonplace in our judicial system and guilty pleas do not always signify guilt. General Flynn had served his country for over 30 years but was apparently targeted for disagreeing with Obama on the topic of Middle East terrorist activities. Flynn pleaded guilty in an effort to protect his family. The press is saying that the DOJ under Barr is without integrity, but the opposite is true. Integrity is the willingness to take a moral stand (believing it to be correct) even if others oppose that stand. There were numerous questionable activities of President Obama and his AGs during his two terms. How about the billions of dollars flown to Tehran in unmarked bills in the middle of the night. Then there were the antics of Attorneys General Loretta Lynch and Eric Holder. Obama declared Holder to be his “wingman” and Holder’s Operation Fast & Furious fiasco was a total failure costing a federal agent his life. How about Loretta Lynch’s infamous tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton while his wife was being investigated. She then deferred prosecution of Hillary Clinton over her mishandling of emails to the FBI Director (who has no legal right to prosecute). Clinton wasn’t indicted despite a mountain of evidence. William Barr HAS restored integrity to the DOJ and withstood the harassment and criticism of the liberal media. Barr will not step down and the President would face a ton of criticism from his own party if he were to ask Barr to resign. Barr and Trump are the men we need to stand up to the Deep State. Our nation may be at a crossroads and if we permit a liberal takeover now American greatness will be gone forever.
